Veneers in Pasadena
What Are Veneers?
A veneer is a tooth-colored cover that is bonded to your tooth to cover up aesthetic imperfections. Veneers are fabricated out of porcelain and crafted from impressions taken of your teeth to look like they’re your real teeth. This versatile, natural-looking and minimally invasive procedure can upgrade your smile, boost your confidence, and improve serious issues like orthodontic problems and tooth damage. By bonding the veneer to your tooth, we strengthen your enamel and provide your tooth with an additional layer of protection. Contact us at Blue Door Dental today to schedule a consultation.

What to Expect From the Veneer Placement Process
Consultation
Dr. Pacheco will examine your teeth to rule out tooth decay and other oral health problems. After determining your teeth are healthy enough for veneers, he will speak to you about your cosmetic goals.
Shade Guide
We will match your veneers to the shade of your natural or surrounding teeth so they blend in.
Enameloplasty
After numbing your mouth, we will use a dental drill to remove approximately .5 mm of enamel from your tooth. This is the equivalent thickness of the veneer and prevents it from sticking out.
Impressions
After prepping your teeth, impressions are taken of your teeth and sent to a dental lab that will use them as a model for your veneers.
Fabrication
The dental lab may take up to 6 weeks to design and create your veneers. While you wait, you will wear temporary veneers that we will bond to your teeth during this appointment.
Placement & Bonding
Once we’ve received your official veneers at the office, we’ll check how they fit and look and then bond them to your natural teeth.
What Can Veneers Fix?
Stained Teeth
Veneers can cover up tooth stains and discoloration by bonding a porcelain shell that is several shades lighter than your natural teeth. Instead of getting your teeth whitened multiple times a year or every few years, this tooth-colored veneer will last for 15 to 20 years. Because veneers are opaque, they can cover up even severe discoloration

Porcelain veneers are the most common type of veneers but they can also be made out of composite resin.
